Re: FEA on Soft Structures
Hi Aidan, Sorry I never got back to you. I just gave up on this for a while. I've been provided with a virtualbox linux image with SOFA framework and the soft robotics plugin already installed, by the people who develop the plugin. I have yet to try it but I attended the SOMA 2017 summer school and ...

What Solenoid Valves other than SMC are available State-Side
Hello everyone, The SMC valves references in the soft robotics toolkit are quite hard to come by for some reason. Does anyone know of any other small fast valves that are available for purchase in the US? I assume there must be some Festo valve that works but there are so many in their catalogs. I g...

Re: An educational soft robot
The video shows a good solution if you have already cast your actuator, however I recommend you include the "adapter" as part of your design and cast as a part of the actuator. Also I would also print an adapter which flares out and can slip around the air tube and get glued there. this way even bef...

Re: About the Simple 3D Printed Robotic Gripper
Hey Matt, Happy New Year.
Just following up wondering if you found out if you can share those models.

Hi Aidan,
Unfortunately I haven't gotten any further, so if you could indeed put me in touch with someone that would be a great help!
Thanks in advance

About the Simple 3D Printed Robotic Gripper
I am currently working on my Master's thesis which will be focused on soft robotic gripper research. I like the design of the gripper you had posted a year ago - http://superreleaser.com/blog/2015/12/15/simple-3d-printed-soft-robotic-gripper I looked for the Make book but it doesn't seem to exist ye...

Re: FEA on Soft Structures
Hi Zaryab, I am also working on soft robotics here at Rutgers University in NJ. I am following the instructions on the SoftRobotics toolkit in order to do FEA analysis using Abaqus. I am currently working with the PneuNet actuator. Despite following all the instructions to the dot, the job ends with...
